Hotel Portion Progresses at Partially-Open St. Regis Chicago

Exterior work continues around the hotel portion of the partially-complete St. Regis Chicago (formerly Vista Tower), a 101-story mixed-use skyscraper in Lakeshore East. Rising 1,191 feet at 375 E Wacker Drive, this supertall tower now ranks as Chicago’s third tallest building. Developed by Magellan Group, the tower will house a 191-key hotel on the first 11 floors, while the remaining floors will comprise of 393 condominiums. St. Regis Hotel and Resorts, a subsidiary of Marriott International, manages both the hotel and residential portion.

Landscaping at Cascade Park Wraps in Lakeshore East

Work on the new 0.8-acre Cascade Park is wrapping up as part of Lendlease and Magellan Development Group‘s Cirrus & Cascade masterplan in Lakeshore East. While the park is to be privately owned and maintained, it will be open to both residents and the public. The park slopes downward from west to east, connecting the elevated N Harbor Drive to the lower lakefront level.

Final Cladding and Landscaping Underway for Lakeshore East’s Cirrus & Cascade

Construction is nearing completion for Cirrus and Cascade, two residential towers rising at 211 N Harbor Drive and 455 E Waterside Drive, respectively, in Lakeshore East. Developers Magellan and Lendlease have co-planned the project, which occupies Parcels J, K, and L within the original Lakeshore East masterplan.

Final Touches Remain for The Chicago River Section of Navy Pier Flyover

Finishing touches are underway for Navy Pier Flyover, a one-third mile long elevated path meant to improve pedestrian and bike access around the mouth of the Chicago River. Commissioned by the Chicago Department of Transportation, the $64 million infrastructure project has been divided into three stages. The two already-completed stages connect the river to Ohio Street Beach, while the remaining third phase will integrate with Outer Drive Bridge.

Construction Tops Off on Cirrus and Cascade at Lakeshore East

Construction has topped off on Cirrus and Cascade, a pair of residential towers located in Lakeshore East. Officially addressed at 211 N Harbor Drive and 455 E Waterside Drive, respectively, Cirrus and Cascade are part of the larger Lakeshore East development within the Parcels IJKL. The site sits between N Harbor Drive and Lake Shore Drive, just south of the multi-level Wacker Drive. The towers are being developed by Lendlease and Magellan Development Group, with bKL Architecture in charge of the design.

Renderings Reveal Updated Design for Parcel O Tower in Lakeshore East

Renderings have been revealed of an updated design for the Parcel O Tower at Lakeshore East. Located at 193 N Columbus Drive, the site within the larger mega development is currently a vacant lot. Studio Gang’s Aqua Tower neighbors the site to the north while the Blue Cross Blue Shield Tower by Goettsch Partners stands just to the south. Magellan Development Group is in charge of the tower project.

St. Regis Chicago Claims Second Spot in Year-End Countdown

Final exterior touches remain near the base of St. Regis Chicago (formerly Vista Tower), a 101-story mixed-use skyscraper at 375 E Wacker Drive in Lakeshore East. Developed by Magellan Group, the tower reaches 1,191 feet in height, claiming the second spot in Chicago YIMBY’s end-of-year countdown and garnering “supertall” status at over 984 feet.

Lakeshore East Parcel I Tower Takes 4th Spot in Chicago’s Tallest Developments Countdown

The approved Parcel I tower, located within the Lakeshore East development, takes the fourth spot in YIMBY’s Chicago’s tallest developments countdown. Located within the IJKL site, the tower will be located on the northern edge of the parcel, at the corner of E Wacker Drive and N Lake Shore Drive. Lendlease and Magellan Development Group are in charge of the development of Parcel I, in addition to Cirrus and Cascade, the towers at the J and K/L sites.
