Construction Permit Comes Through For 3310 North Lincoln Avenue In Lake View

A residential development has been permitted at 3310 North Lincoln Avenue in Lake View, two and a half years after applications were filed to start construction. Mangan Builders will put up a six-story building on the site, which was cleared of a pair of low-sling structures back in spring 2024. The permit was issued on March 27, and it shows a reported cost of $6 million. Mangan is the general contractor, in addition to their developer duties.

A three-unit residential building at 2841 North Southport Avenue is getting closer to delivery in the Lake View neighborhood. Brick work is starting to make its way up the front facade as Bachula Development continues their progress on the topped-out four-story structure.

Zoning Initially Approved For Lake View Hotel at 3257 N Halsted Street

Zoning has been initially approved for the new hotel project at 3257 N Halsted Street in Lake View. Located on the corner with W Aldine Avenue in the heart of Northalsted, the proposal received approval from both the Committee on Zoning and Alderman Lawson. The project is being developed by Allan O’Brien who owns Men’s Room Chicago nearby.

Demolition Clears Space For Four Units Permitted At 822 West Aldine Avenue In Lake View

Demolition is being carried out on a frame residence at 822 West Aldine Avenue in Lake View, where a new four-unit building will soon begin construction. A demo permit was issued by the city on September 5, 2024, with All Concrete Contractors handling the teardown. The home, built in 1885, sold back in July for just over $1.5 million, according to real estate records.

453 West Briar Place foundation construction

Foundation work has started for a new residential building at 453 West Briar Place in the Lake View neighborhood. The five-story, six-unit condominium project is being built by Chicago’s GVP Development. They got a foundation permit back in November 2023, before receiving permission to complete the project in May of last year.

Construction Progress Has Gone 3-D At 3037 North Lincoln Avenue In Lake View

The sidewalk canopy on Lincoln Avenue hides much of the progress, but work is still getting done on a residential development at 3037 North Lincoln Avenue in Lake View. Promised Land Development (PLD Homes) is putting up a four-story, 15-unit building here that was permitted for construction on September 17 of last year.

Plans Shrunken For 925 W Belmont Avenue In Lake View

New plans have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 925 W Belmont Avenue in Lake View. Sitting just a few feet away from the CTA Red Line Belmont station, a much larger version of the project was initially revealed last year by Mavrek Development. Both the original and current design were led by local firm Eckenhoff Saunders.

Renovations Are Preserving An 1890s Multi-Unit Residence On Wolfram Street In Lake View

A multi-unit residence built in the early 1890s is being renovated in Lake View, saving the 130-year-old home from demolition. A renovation permit issued in July of last year allowed general contractor Paul Peterson, Inc to update the apartment layouts inside the building, while modernizing the kitchens and bathrooms. A rear exterior stairway and new decks are also included in the plan, with much of that work already completed.

Now Topped Out, Lakeview Landing Exterior Work Continues In Lake View

Lakeview Landing is now topped out at 835 West Addison Street in the Lake View Community Area, as work on the exterior continues. Window installation appears to have crossed the halfway mark, and balconies on the east elevation are evident. That’s the work of general contractor Powers & Sons Construction.
