Aberdeen Crossing Tops Out At Seven Stories In West Town

The residential building at 1100 West Grand Avenue in West Town is now topped out at its ultimate seven-story height. The 99-unit Aberdeen Crossing, from Wildwood Investments, was turned over to general contractor Contemporary Concepts last week by concrete contractor Adjustable Concrete, according to a post they published on LinkedIn. The concrete frame took them 10 weeks to complete. A visit just six weeks ago showed progress had reached the second story.

Now that the tower crane is part of the team, construction has gone vertical at Aberdeen Crossing in West Town. Contractors Contemporary Concepts and Adjustable Concrete have risen to the second floor of the future seven-story apartment building at 1100 West Grand Avenue. Wildwood Investments is the developer here, with bKL Architecture designing the plans.

The tower crane is up at Aberdeen Crossing, as construction at grade continues on the West Town residential development. Wildwood Investments in building a seven-story, 99-unit apartment building at 1100 West Grand Avenue, designed by bKL Architecture. The ground floor will include 28 parking spaces, and about 1,700 square feet of commercial space.

The residential development at 1100 West Grand Avenue in West Town has begun construction, and it also has a new name. Aberdeen Crossing is a seven-story, 99-unit apartment building from Wildwood Investments. Designed by bKL Architecture, the project includes 1,500 square feet of retail space and parking for 28 cars. Twenty residential units will be set aside as affordable.

Demolition of United Christian Church in Lincoln Park has begun; “The Base” to soon follow

Demolition is all about The Base, as the former United Christian Church at Diversey Parkway and Seminary Avenue in Lincoln Park begins to crumble. A permit for new construction (using the address of 2763 North Seminary Avenue) was issued to replace the church on September 4 of this year. We stopped by the following day to find crews setting up demo fencing around the perimeter, waiting for the tear-down permit to arrive.

A demolition permit is imminent for the former United Christian Church at 1055 West Diversey Parkway in Lincoln Park, as a new construction permit has been issued for the property. On September 4, the City of Chicago issued a permit allowing Contemporary Concepts to build their planned five-story, 24-unit residential development on the site. Crews were out the following day prepping the church for demolition.

1055 W Diversey Submits Zoning Application

Contemporary Concepts and Studio Dwell Architects have submitted a zoning application for a proposed residential development at 1055 West Diversey. The project site, currently housing a church. The new development, designed by Studio Dwell Architects, is planned to be a five-story building with 24 residential units, standing 58 feet tall. The exterior will feature a brick cladding with metal accent panels and limestone on the ground floor windows.

Initial details have been revealed for the residential development at 1055 W Diversey Parkway in Lincoln Park. Located just west of the intersection with N Sheffield Avenue on the northern edge of the neighborhood, the project will be replacing an existing church building. The proposal is being led by developer Contemporary Concepts with Studio Dwell Architects working on its design.

3449 N Ashland Wraps Up Three-Part Residential Project in Lake View

Facade and balcony installation are edging closer to completion for a four-story residential development at 3449 N Ashland Avenue in Lake View. Marking the third and final phase of a comprehensive project, this stage replaces the historic 97-year-old Loyola Press building. Representing the culmination of a three-part development, this phase is a collaboration between Contemporary Concepts Inc as the developer and Studio Dwell Architects for the design.

Construction Finalizes for The Porter in Lincoln Park

Construction is wrapping up for a five-story mixed-use building, The Porter, situated at 2411 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. The development, spearheaded by Mike Breheny of Contemporary Concepts Inc., involves 3,700 square feet of retail, a 1,700-square-foot covered patio, and 36 luxury rental apartments above. The privately-owned Julia Porter Park previously occupied the site.
