Plan Commission Reviews LeClaire Courts Redevelopment

A courtesy presentation was given to the Chicago Plan Commission for the second-phase of the LeClaire Courts redevelopment at 4458 S Cicero Avenue in Garfield Ridge. Located on the corner with W 45th Street, the proposal will replace the former home of the public housing project of the same name. The development is being led by The Habitat Company and Cabrera Capital Partners with local firm SCB working on its design.

1257 W Roosevelt Road Nears Full Height in Little Italy

Structural work is past the fourth floor at 1257 W Roosevelt Road in Little Italy, a project spearheaded by Related Midwest in collaboration with the Chicago Housing Authority. This six-story, mixed-use building is part of the larger Roosevelt Square Phase 3B development, which aims to introduce a variety of mixed-income housing options, retail spaces, and the new National Museum of Public Housing. Overall, Roosevelt Square will feature 2,441 housing units, encompassing both multifamily and single-family structures.

The Chicago Housing Authority has advanced the first phase of the LeClaire Courts redevelopment at 4458 S Cicero Avenue in Garfield Ridge. Located on the intersection with W 45th Street, the new project replaces the massive vacant lot once home to a public housing project. Developed by The Habitat Company and Cabrera Capital Partners, the SCB-designed complex will sit next to the new Cultivate Collective community hub.

A Final Look at “Sheffield of Lincoln Park” Residential Development

Construction is complete for the six-story residential building at 2700 North Sheffield Avenue in Lincoln Park. Named “Sheffield of Lincoln Park,” this project is a part of a redevelopment initiative by Pihrl and the Chicago Housing Authority for the Edith Spurlock Apartment complex. The two original buildings of this complex were built in the 1960s. The new building, replacing a parking lot between the existing structures, rises to 85 feet and offers 80 apartments, bringing the complex’s total units to 485.
