A permit issued by the city on February 26 allows for the construction of a three-flat residence at 3004 West Jackson Boulevard in East Garfield Park. The application from developer Rattigan Construction LLC of Chicago Ridge is dated January 21, 2026, and it came through with a reported cost of $750,000. Rattigan will do the general contracting work themselves.
The Chicago Community Development Commission has approved TIF funds for the mixed-use development known as Hub 32 in East Garfield Park. Located at 132 North Kedzie Avenue, the project was part of a three-lot RFQ issued by the city a few years ago. The project also saw design updates late last year as it continues to move through the approval process.
Initial details have been revealed for a new cultural and community hub at 2905 West Madison Street in East Garfield Park. Located at the intersection with North Francisco Avenue, the center will replace a city-owned vacant lot as part of the city’s initiative to reinvest in the West Side. The effort is being led by The Brim Foundation and P3 Markets.
Three permits issued on December 30 by the City of Chicago allow a local developer to erect three-unit residential buildings in the East Garfield Park and North Lawndale Community Areas. A-Z Plus Remodeling, Inc of Austin is the owner and general contractor. All three of their permits came through with reported costs of $500,000 apiece, and all three projects will replace long-vacant lots.
A Palos Hills developer has received the first three permits to build four three-flat residential buildings in the 2700 block of West Wilcox Street in East Garfield Park. Remcon Incorporated, who will also perform general contracting duties, received the permits on consecutive days last week, with each showing a reported cost of $400,000 apiece.
