A permit to erect three dwelling units will plug a small gap on West Fulton Boulevard in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. ANM Mechanical Services LLC, as both the developer and the general contractor, will erect a three-flat residential building at 3215 West Fulton. They got a permit on April 13 after waiting 68 days. It comes through with a reported cost of $400,000. The vacant parcel, improved only with a rear concrete slab, has been used recently for parking.

A pair of permits issued by the City of Chicago on April 3 allow for the construction of eight-unit residential buildings at 2652 and 2656 West Madison Street in East Garfield Park. The permit applications were submitted by developer Sage Venture Holdings LLC, an entity registered in Mundelein, on November 21, 2024, and each includes a reported cost of $1,512,240.

A permit issued by the city on February 26 allows for the construction of a three-flat residence at 3004 West Jackson Boulevard in East Garfield Park. The application from developer Rattigan Construction LLC of Chicago Ridge is dated January 21, 2026, and it came through with a reported cost of $750,000. Rattigan will do the general contracting work themselves.

Partial Funding For Hub 32 in East Garfield Park Moving Forward

The Chicago Community Development Commission has approved TIF funds for the mixed-use development known as Hub 32 in East Garfield Park. Located at 132 North Kedzie Avenue, the project was part of a three-lot RFQ issued by the city a few years ago. The project also saw design updates late last year as it continues to move through the approval process.

New Community Hub Proposed In East Garfield Park

Initial details have been revealed for a new cultural and community hub at 2905 West Madison Street in East Garfield Park. Located at the intersection with North Francisco Avenue, the center will replace a city-owned vacant lot as part of the city’s initiative to reinvest in the West Side. The effort is being led by The Brim Foundation and P3 Markets.

Three permits issued on December 30 by the City of Chicago allow a local developer to erect three-unit residential buildings in the East Garfield Park and North Lawndale Community Areas. A-Z Plus Remodeling, Inc of Austin is the owner and general contractor. All three of their permits came through with reported costs of $500,000 apiece, and all three projects will replace long-vacant lots.

A Palos Hills developer has received the first three permits to build four three-flat residential buildings in the 2700 block of West Wilcox Street in East Garfield Park. Remcon Incorporated, who will also perform general contracting duties, received the permits on consecutive days last week, with each showing a reported cost of $400,000 apiece.

A pair of new construction permits issued two days apart will allow six residential units on West Jackson Boulevard in the East Garfield Park neighborhood. Identical permits for 2744 and 2746 West Jackson were issued on November 24 and November 25 respectively. Each was applied for on September 12, and they both came through with reported costs of $450,000.

Revised Plans Approved For Hub 32 In East Garfield Park

The Chicago City Council has approved updated plans for the Hub 32 development at 132 North Kedzie Avenue in East Garfield Park. Bound by West Maypole Avenue to the south, the project will rise next to the CTA Green Line Kedzie station and across the street from The Hatchery. The project was first revealed in 2023 as part of a city RFQ.

Trio Of Six-Unit Permits Issued For Residences In East Garfield Park

Three permits were issued by the City of Chicago over the past week to erect a trio of two-story, six-unit residential buildings in East Garfield Park. All three applications were filed on January 6 of this year. The first two permits came through on October 24, and the third was issued October 27. Each permit shows a reported cost of $2.375 million.
