Construction work has risen through the fourth floor on the first phase of Evergreen Garden at 2128 North Tan Court in Chinatown. Levels two through four appear to be propped up on stilts, as the first floor, which will contain amenity spaces, a community lounge, offices, covered parking, and bicycle storage, remains unencumbered by walls. The upper floors are enclosed and have window openings.
A permit was issued on the final day of March for the construction of a four-story office and retail building at 2314 South Wentworth Avenue in Chinatown. The new structure replaces a similar three-story mixed-use building that the city ordered demolished in March 2023. Alliance Demolition was cited in that permit as the demolition contractor.

A private developer applied for a building permit on November 9 of last year, and it came through on January 20 with a reported cost of $500,000.

Announced earlier this year under the address 2020 South Archer, the project sits at the eastern edge of the neighborhood, across the street from Hilliard Homes. The development is being led by a collaboration between Century 21 Realty Associates and HMC Realty.

Located on the intersection with S Clark Street, the project is being led by Century 21 Realty Associates along with HMC Realty & Management, who are also behind a 2023 development dubbed The Clark just down the street at 2116 S Clark Street.
