Barely a month after a permit for 50 residential units was issued and the surface parking lot fenced off, they’re drilling and filling caissons at 135 North Desplaines in the West Loop. “They” is Chicago Common Partners, who are erecting this building for Continuum Real Estate Brokers, just as they are a block north at 629 West Lake.
Zoning has been fully approved for the mixed-use development at 135 N Des Plaines Street in West Loop Gate. Located on the southeast corner with W Randolph Street just a block away from the highway, the upcoming proposal will replace a surface parking lot and its small footprint as the neighborhood continues to fill in long-term gaps. Developer Rogers Park Holdings LLC is working with local firm Axios Architects & Consultants on the small building which was announced earlier this year.
Plans have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 135 N Des Plaines Street in West Loop Gate. Developer Rogers Park Holdings LLC has not disclosed who their architect is, but the project was revealed via Alderman Reilly’s newsletter.
