1000M Nears Topping Out in South Loop

South Loop’s new 73-story residential skyscraper, 1000M, is progressing toward its final 805-foot height at 1000 S Michigan Avenue. The building, a collaboration between JK Equities, Time Equities, and Oak Capitals, is expected to increase its initial offering from 506 condominium units to 738 rental apartments to meet demand. The project, as of yesterday, has released its updated marketing campaign on its official website.

1000M is Chicago’s Second Tallest Construction Project

In second place in Chicago’s year-end countdown is 1000M, a 74-story residential skyscraper in South Loop. The 788-foot-tall tower is now rapidly ascending and beginning to leave its mark on the south end of the Chicago skyline. The joint project between JK Equities, Time Equities, and Oak Capitals promises to consist of a total of 738 rental units located at 1000 S Michigan Avenue.

1000M Reaches Main Tower Portion in South Loop

Now that the slanted cantilever section above the podium is complete, structural work has begun on the main tower component for the 73-story 1000M residential building at 1000 S Michigan Avenue in South Loop. The developer team of JK Equities, Time Equities, and Oak Capitals have planned for 738 rental units in this most recent building iteration. As Chicago’s second tallest active construction project (behind the 850-foot-tall Salesforce Tower), the skyscraper will stand 788 feet upon completion.
