Plans have been revealed for a residential development at 3102 North Western Avenue in West Lakeview. Located at the corner of West Barry Avenue near the Chicago River, the new proposal would replace two vacant residential buildings along with an empty lot. The project is being led by local resident Matt Ronan through an LLC.

Developed by Range Group and located just south of Clybourn Avenue, Western Avenue, & Belmont Avenue, this 55,150-square-foot structure will yield 39 for-rent apartment units and ground-level retail.

The filing owner 2209 W Belmont LLC has planned three total apartment units, as well as a basement, a rooftop deck and stair enclosure, and rear decks on all three floors connected by a staircase. Behind the building will also be a detached three-car garage with a second rooftop deck. The new project will replace a two-story frame residential building.
