Updated Renderings Revealed For BUILD Community Center In Austin

Updated plans have been revealed for the community facility at 5112 W Harrison Street in Austin. Occupying a whole city block bound by S Leamington Avenue to the east and S Laramie Avenue to the west, the project is a massive expansion to BUILD Chicago’s existing center which focuses on gang intervention with local youth. The proposal recently broke ground and finally received approval for an additional floor to the addition which is being led by BUILD themselves with Landon Bone Baker Architects working on the design.

Construction Reaches Second Floor for Northwestern Medicine Advanced Outpatient Care Center in Old Irving Park

Construction on the Northwestern Medicine Advanced Outpatient Care Center in Old Irving Park has surpassed the first floor, with work now underway on the second level. Located at 4445 W Irving Park Road, the four-story structure is being built on a full city block bounded by W Irving Park Road, N Kenneth Avenue, and N Kilbourn Avenue. The 160,000-square-foot facility will offer a range of outpatient services, including fields such as cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, infusion​, imaging, immediate care, lab draws, oncology, ophthalmology, optical shop, orthopaedics, physical therapy, primary care, and urology.

Updated Plans Revealed for Harper Courts Phase 2 in Hyde Park

The University of Chicago and developers Beacon Capital Partners and Trammell Crow have unveiled the new designs and scope of Harper Courts Phase 2 in Hyde Park. The proposed 13-story medical research office building will support nearly 300,000 square feet of lab space, one-sixth of which will be set aside for the University of Chicago. The contained block lies just west of the railroad tracks, bound by E 52nd Street to the north, S Lake Park Avenue to the east, E 53rd Street to the south, and S Harper Avenue to the west.
