The third building at the North Union mega development at 232 W Chestnut Street in the Near North Side continues to undergo foundation work. Situated at the intersection with N Franklin Street, the five-story mass-timber structure is being developed by JDL is designed by Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture. The programming will comprise of a total of 23 residential units.
Glass and metal installation is now wrapping up for the 21-story 920 N Wells Street in Near North Side. Developed by JDL as part of the massive North Union megadevelopment, this primarily residential mixed-use building is the first step in what will be a $1.3 billion master plan covering several blocks of land previously owned by the Moody Bible Institute.
Further construction permits have been issued for the upcoming development located at 868 N Wells Street in the Near North Side. This is part of developer JDL mega-development which has been dubbed North Union. As previously reported, the $1.3 billion masterplan will house roughly 2.9 million square feet of space, 2,656 residences, new commercial units, and 100,000 square feet of public areas.
