Construction permits were recently issued for a three-story residential building located at 4024 S Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Bronzeville. Jacek Bochaczyk is the filing owner, whose plans for the structure include three total units. The new project will replace a previously empty grass lot.
Ana Wolfe of A S Wolfe Design, PC is the listed architect of record. Neither drawings nor renderings have yet been revealed, however the filing notes a frame design.
Nearby bus access includes north and southbound service for Route 3, which can be found via a two-minute walk south to the intersection of King Drive & 41st Street. Residents will also be in close proximity to the Pershing & King Drive intersection, which includes east and westbound stops for Route 39. CTA L service for the Green Line is available at Indiana station via a six-minute walk northwest.
Parks in the vicinity comprise of Mandrake Park to the east and Anderson Park to the northwest. Slightly further east of Mandrake Park is also the Lakefront and the adjacent Burnham Park. Wendell Phillips Academy High School can also be found within via a six-minute walk northwest.
Best Art Construction, Inc. is serving as the general contractor for the $225,000 construction, whose completion date has yet to be revealed.

one can only hope that Ana Wolfe has designed something equally as grand and architecturally distinguished as this new building’s neighbors….for $225,000.
