Permits have been issued for a single-story commercial building at 6101 N Western Avenue in Chicago’s West Ridge neighborhood.

The lot is located along the eastern side of N Western Avenue, which has a series of commercial properties and retail surrounded by residential neighborhoods. The nearest bus transit is the Western & Glenlake stop on route 49B, a one-minute walk south. Additional access includes the Peterson & Western stop on route 84, a three-minute walk south. CTA L access includes a 34-minute walk east to the Granville station, serviced by the Red and Purple Lines, as well as a 36-minute walk northeast to the Rogers Park station, serviced by the Green Line. Other nearby points of interest include the stretch of W Devon Avenue that makes up Little India and is an eight-minute walk north from the property, as well as West Ridge Natural area, a park with a pond is eight minutes south.

The developer, Classic Carwash on Western, LLC, is planning to have the main building function as the car wash, with additional office space inside the structure. Additional planned features include multiple driveways to enter, a vacuum workstation, and an overhead canopy. Classic Carwash will also have available exterior parking. While the permit filing does not show an architect of record, the structural engineer is listed as Ghulam M. Kamal.

RMJ Construction Ltd. is the general contractor for the building, with an estimated construction cost of $800,000. An official completion date has not been listed.
