Initial Gambling Approvals Issued For Bally’s Medinah Temple Facility In River North

Initial approvals were granted by the Illinois Gaming Board for the temporary casino at 600 N Wabash Avenue in River North. Located within the Medinah Temple building across the street from the first UNO Pizzeria location, the temporary facility will operate for the next few years while a permanent home is built nearby. Led by Bally’s, who was the city’s winning casino bid last year, the structure will be renovated from a former furniture store into a state of the art gambling center designed by STL Architects and SOSH Architects.

Preview of Bally’s Temporary Casino in River North

Last month Bally’s Corporation revealed its plans for the temporary casino at Medinah Temple. With the winning casino bid, Bally’s has announced it will be opening a temporary casino at Medinah Temple as a stop-gap prior to the completion of the new build on the site of the current Tribune Freedom Center printing plant.
