This new structure, known as ALLY at 1229 W Concord, will serve as an eight-story office venue for bioscience-related companies. Tower Crane Permit Scored for Life Sciences Building in Lincoln Yards

A tower crane permit has been issued for the eight-story Life Sciences Building at Lincoln Yards, marking a key milestone as developer Sterling Bay kicks off its first building in the larger 53-acre Lincoln yards development along Chicago’s North Branch corridor. The permit address has been listed under 1229 W Concord Place, though the official address will fall under 1200 W Concord Place. The site of the new construction is a 60,000-square-foot parcel located at the southern end of the Lincoln Yards development boundary, just west of the river.

Construction to Commence on New Bridge and Life Sciences Building in 2021 at Lincoln Yards

Sterling Bay, the developers behind Lincoln Yards, recently shared an update with community members about the status of development at the site. The new Dominick Bridge plus the Life Sciences Building are planned to break ground this year. Planned for the southern half of the site, dubbed Lincoln Yards South, the two projects will be the first new construction for the overall mega-development.
