Permits were issued on Monday for the construction of a new four-story residential construction located at 1629 N Burling Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The permit’s owners have been listed as 1629 N Burling LLC and plans indicate there will be three total units spread across the first through fourth floors. There will be a three-vehicle masonry garage as well as a masonry trash enclosure.
Bill Kokalias of Axios Architects & Consultants is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have been disclosed at this time, however, a masonry exterior is anticipated.
Bus services for CTA Route 8 can be found at the Halsted & North Avenue stop which is a four-minute walk from the future build. The nearest CTA L Red Line can be found at the North/Clybourn station via a five-minute walk west.
SCC Construction LLC will also act as the general contractor for the $966,000 construction. The existing structure has not been issued a demolition permit. As such, a complete timeline and an anticipated completion date is not yet known.
