A permit was issued on Wednesday for a new four-story residential building, located at 3421 N Ashland Avenue in Lake View. The owner is listed as Michael Breheny, who has planned 53 total units, an elevator, a bike room, a loading bay, a rooftop patio, and 16 total surface parking spaces. The new construction will be replacing a masonry structure that was approved for demolition earlier this year.
The property will be home to a mix of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments with some having attached balcony spaces. The property will include five affordable units. Mark Raymond Peters of Studio Dwell Architects is listed as the architect of record.
The nearest bus access can be found for Routes 9, which can be found via a one-minute walk south to Ashland & Roscoe stop. This property is also a quick three-minute walk west of the Paulina CTA L station which connects to the Brown Line.
The property is well situated along the N Ashland corridor and is near a variety of retail, dining, and bar options. Hamlin Park is also within a 20-minute walk for those looking to enjoy green space.
Contemporary Concepts, Inc will serve as the general contractor for the $8 million project. No projection date has been given for a completion date.
