A demolition permit has been issued by the City of Chicago to remove a former Brown’s Chicken restaurant at 6909 West Archer Avenue in Garfield Ridge. Permission came through on August 21, with Master Guys Demolition assigned to teardown duties at a reported cost of $15,000. The restaurant closed in 2018 and was listed for sale by the owner. It has been vacant since.

A pending permit in the Chicago Data Portal using the address of 6905 West Archer proposes a two-tenant commercial building for the site. One of those businesses is Buffalo Wild Wings, with the second occupant to be determined. Parking and a trash enclosure are the only details included in that permit, which has been pending since June 17.

PKS Construction Inc of Elk Grove Village is named as the owner of the property on the demolition permit, but an individual’s name is cited as the owner on the construction permit. The new restaurant is designed by Steven Kolber of Kolbrook Design in Evanston. No general contractor is specified.
