Grade-level foundation work continues to progress for the residential development at 537 West Drummond Place in Lincoln Park. Tucked in behind the recently renovated Hotel Covent on the 2600 block of North Clark Street, the seven-story, 84-unit building is replacing a surface parking lot utilized by the United States Postal Service facility next door.
Moyer Properties is project’s developer, with Summit Design + Build serving as their general contractor. The building will include studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom floor plans atop a parking garage and retail space on the first floor. Storage for 84 bicycles, a resident lounge, and a state-of-the-art fitness center will be available for tenant use. Indoor and outdoor parking will combine for a total of 52 spaces. ParkFowler Plus is the architect of record. Construction was permitted by the City of Chicago back in August of 2022, with Summit getting started on the build in October 2024.
Residents of 537 West Drummond Place will find bus stops for CTA Routes 22 Clark and 36 Broadway on their block. A little less than two blocks north is the Route 76 bus, which can be used to connect with the Diversey Brown/Purple Line elevated platform just over half a mile west. A half-mile walk east into the park leads to several bus routes at Stockton Drive that head south to Michigan Avenue and The Loop, including Routes 134, 143, 151, and 155.
