Updated renderings and details have been revealed for the upcoming Guinness Open Gate Brewery Chicago at 375 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. Located within the former Pennsylvania Railroad Terminal building and behind the recently topped out 360 N Green Street, the one-story structure will become the company’s second US location behind their first in Baltimore. Facing a couple of hurdles during construction, we now know that Chicago-based firms Studio K and Whitney Architects are behind the new interior design.

With an updated name, the property which was supposed to open this weekend has had more of its program flushed out within the 15,000 square-foot structure. This includes one of the more unique features which is a new coffee shop and morning bakery that will serve Intelligentsia Coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and brown bread to go, a first for the brewer which was established in 1759. Copper wall tiles, intricate lighting fixtures, and quick–grab refrigerators will round out the new area separated from the main dining room itself.

New renderings show the multi-height bar and now confirmed restaurant as a sleek modern space with new industrial-style windows along the side, with a large wood and plant lined harp-shaped sculptural piece anchoring the wood and leather filled room. The brewing process will also be mostly visible to those visiting behind a glass wall, with the brewery serving not only its signature stout but also brews inspired by Old Style beer and dishes from around the world as well according to Eater.

Other updates also include the announcement of a partnership with Stefani Signature Restaurants and Hyde Park Hospitality to run the space, as Clune Construction continues to quickly build out the remainder of the property for a summer 2023 opening. It is also worth noting a new rendering for the high-rise proposed behind it was made public, the 43-story structure at the same address had local firm HPA revealed as its architect as well though no construction information has been stated at the moment.
