New demolition permits were issued earlier this week to remove a multi-unit masonry residence and a detached garage located at 1936 W Belmont Avenue in the North Center neighborhood. The owner is listed as Sustainabuild LLC. This demolition comes on the heels of permits issued for the neighboring parcel at 1938 W Belmont Avenue, which we’ve previously reported.

Bus service for CTA Route 77 can be found at the Belmont & Wolcott stop via a two-minute walk east. The nearest CTA L Brown Line is located at the Paulina station via a 13-minute walk northeast. There are a number of popular restaurants and shopping destinations near the demolition site.

TM1 Construction Inc is acting as the demolition contractor on the project. No permits have been filed for any new builds at this location.
