Final facade work is underway for a three-building development known as Schiller Place Apartments, rising four stories for each building and located under the addresses 711-749 W Schiller Street in Near North Side. This residential undertaking has been planned by Evergreen Real Estate and Structured Development, whose plans include 16 apartment dwellings within each building, for a total of 48. These residences will vary between one- and two-bedroom floorplans. Buildijt features include a leasing office in the easternmost building, landscaping and street improvements, as well as 18 surface parking spaces in the rear.
The design is by Bailey Edward Architecture, whose scheme involves a brown face brick, limestone accents, and dark metal trimmings.
Public transit options in the vicinity include bus service for Route 8, located a two-minute walk south to Halsted & Evergreen. Also nearby is additional bus service for Routes 9 and 72 via a six-minute walk north to North Ave & Clybourn/Halsted. The CTA L Red Line can also be found at this intersection via the North/Clybourn subway station. Those looking to board the Brown or Purple Lines will find Sedgwick station slightly further via a 12-minute walk northeast.
With a reported construction price tag of $25 million, GMA Construction is serving as the general contractor. A full completion and move-ins are expected for the first half of this year.
