A permit was issued yesterday for a new three-story residential building at 6528 S Maryland Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood. The owner is listed as Jack Properties LLC, and plans indicate this project will yield three total dwelling units. Each unit will be outfitted with an open deck and rear stair access. The plans also indicate the presence of a three-car parking pad behind the structure. The development will replace a previously vacant lot.
Charles E Schwartz is listed as the architect of record. At the time of this writing, no drawings or renderings have been disclosed.
The CTA Green Line can be accessed at the Cottage Grove station via an eight-minute walk north. The Route 4 bus can also be accessed at Cottage Grove. The next closest bus service available is Route 63 and can be found at 63rd Street & Drexel via a seven-minute walk northeast. There are many retail and dining options on the 63rd Street corridor.
Crown Construction Company will act as the general contractor for the $350,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
