Construction permits have been issued for a three-story residential building planned for 3243 N Lakewood Avenue in Lake View. The project’s owner is filed under 3243 North Lakewood LLC, with plans for two total units, a basement, and a two-car garage with a rooftop deck. The new structure is set to replace a three-floor frame residential building, for which YIMBY reported demolition permits early last month.
Michael Cox is serving as architect of the new structure. Neither drawings nor renderings have yet been revealed, although the filing description notes a masonry design.
For bus transit, residents wishing to access the Route 77 can find nearest availability at Belmont & Lakewood via a two-minute walk south. Additional nearby service includes Routes 9 and X9 to the west, Route 152 to the north, and Routes 8, 22, 151, and 152 to the west.
Residents looking to board the CTA L Brown Line trains will find Southport Station station located via a six-minute walk northwest. Meanwhile, those wishing to board the Brown, Purple, and Red Line trains will have access to Belmont station via an 11-minute walk southeast.
Green space comprises of Margaret Donahue Park, which comes with an open grass space and a large playground. Meanwhile, Wrigley Field and the broader Wrigleyville Area are both available within a 15-minute walk northeast.
Ronan Construction LLC is the general contractor for the $750,000 project, whose completion date is not currently known.
