Construction permits have been issued for a new three-story residential building located at 1542 W Wrightwood Avenue in Lincoln Park. The owner Joey Halperin plans to incorporate two units, as well as a basement, a rooftop deck and enclosure, a three-story rear metal porch, and a two-car garage.
Victor Drapszo of Red Architects is the listed architect of record. No drawings or renderings have been published, though multiple masonry contractors suggest what will likely be a brick exterior.
Future residents will find north and southbound stops for Route 9, located at Ashland & Wrightwood less than a minute walk west. Other nearby routes include east and westbound stops for Route 74 located a six-minute walk south and east and westbound stops for Route 76 a six-minute walk north.
Those wishing to board the CTA L can find nearest access for the Brown and Purple Lines at Diversey station via a 20-minute walk northeast, as well as the Brown, Purple, and Red Lines at Fullerton station via a 20-minute southeast.
Wrightwood Park can be found directly across Wrightwood Avenue, accompanied by a mix of recreational venues such as a soccer field, a basketball court, and a playground.
Next Level Construction Inc. is the general contractor behind the $600,000 project. A completion date has not yet been revealed.
