Construction permits have been issued for a four-story mixed-use building, located at 1822 W Foster Avenue in Lincoln Square. The development will replace a previously occupying masonry structure, for which demolition permits were issued in October.

The owners, filed under Richard Norton and Kevin Galassini, plan for 1,900 square feet of retail space on the ground floor, as well as nine residential buildings above. Jonathan Splitt is listed as the architect of record. No renderings have yet been revealed, though multiple masonry contractors indicate what will likely be a brick or stone exterior.

Residents and tenants will have nearby access to bus Routes 50 and 92, just steps to the west at Foster & Wolcott. CTA L service consists of a 17-minute walk south to the Brown Line’s Damen station. Additional Red Line availability can be found via Berwyn station, a 21-minute walk northeast.

Outdoor spaces include the nearby 22-acre Winnemac Park, as well as Chase Park located a 19-minute walk southeast. The commercial corridor along N Clark Street is also accessible via an eight-minute walk east to its intersection with Foster.

Reinventive Real Estate & Development Corporation will act as general contractor for the roughly $2.2 million project. A full completion timeline is not yet known.
