Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 7006 N Glenwood Avenue in Rogers Park. The corner lot sits at the intersection of N Glenwood Avenue and W Lunt Avenue. The nearest public transportation is the 96 CTA bus accessed at the Lunt and Glenwood stop at the corner of the lot. One block south is the Morse CTA L station serviced by the Red Line. The site is also four blocks east of N Clark Street, a busy commercial and retail corridor. Loyola Beach is located less than ten minutes away by walking. Age Glenwood LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The building will have 30 residential units on floors two through five. A retail component and a parking garage will be included on the ground floor. The height and square footage of the proposed structure is currently unknown. The project is labeled as a transit-oriented development (TOD) presumably due to its proximity to the Morse Red Line station.
Jean Dufresne of SPACE Architects + Planners is listed as the architect of record. Kelly Construction & Design LLC is listed as the general contractor.
The site is currently empty, so demolition permits will most likely not be necessary. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
