There are a lot more bricks on the façade of 4715 North Western Avenue than when we last stopped by in July. In fact, there appears to be only a small section on the southwest corner of the building that remains to be done. Located at the corner of Western and Leland Avenues in Lincoln Square, time is of the essence for the building, as developer The Community Builders expects to have residents begin moving in before 2025 begins.
There will be 63 affordable apartments in the DesignBridge project. The building includes about 5,500 square feet of retail space, plus a 31-space garage to be shared by tenants and retail customers.
Directly across Leland Avenue to the south is the Western Brown Line platform, where commuters will also have access to CTA bus service on Routes 11, 49, X49, and 81.
