Permits have been issued for a two-story residential building at 4047 S Prairie Avenue in Bronzeville. The owner of the currently vacant lot, filed under St 98 Holdings LLC, has planned two residential units, with an additional basement, rear wood deck and stairs, and a detached two-car garage.

Charles E. Schwartz is the architect of record. No renderings have yet been revealed, though the permit filing description lists both the main building and the detached garage as frame structures.

Nearby bus service for Route 39 can be found at Indiana & 41st Street, located a three-minute walk southwest. Access for Route 3 is located via four-minute walk southeast to King Drive & 41st Street. Residents wishing to board the CTA L’s Green Line can find Indiana station, a three-minute walk northwest.

Parks within walking distance include Poplar Park located across from Prairie Avenue. Other spaces like Metcalfe (Ralph) Park and Pendleton (Hadiya) Park are also available within the vicinity.

YIMBY previously reported on a similar project by St 98 Holdings at 4041 S Prairie Street, located just to the north of the current development site. C & S General Contractors, Inc. is serving as the general contractor for the $350,000 construction project. A completion timeline has not yet been announced.
