Construction permits have been issued for a four-story residential building at 1346 W Sunnyside Avenue in Sheridan Park.
The owner, listed under Malden Development LLC, is planning nine units, a basement, and an attached indoor garage for 10 cars.
Bill G. Kokalias of Axios Architects & Consultants is the architect of record. No renderings have yet been released, though listed masonry contractors suggest a stone or brick facade.
The property is located at the intersection of W Sunnyside Avenue and N Beacon Street, just one block north of Mary E. Courtenay Language Arts Center, as well as the northern edge of Graceland Cemetery. Nearby bus access includes a three-minute walk west to Clark & Sunnyside, serviced by Routes 22 and 78, and a three-minute walk north to the Wilson & Beacon stop for Route 78. The Purple and Red lines for the CTA L can be found via a nine-minute walk northeast to Wilson station.
Park access includes multiple spaces within a 15-minute walk, including Broncho Billy Playlot park to the east, Gooseberry Playlot Park to the northeast, and Chase Park to the northwest.
Matrix Design & Construction is listed as the general contractor for the $2,290,200 project. A completion date has not yet been announced.
