In Bronzeville at 515 East Bowen Avenue, a corner parcel formed with a perpendicular alley, a local LLC has received permission to fill a vacant lot with a three-story, three-unit residential building. Landex Holding Company LLC got a new construction permit on May 28, 34 days after its application start date of April 24, and with it comes a reported cost of $440,000.

Landex will use Crown Construction Company as their general contractor, and Charles Schwartz as their architect of record, a team that has been busy of late in Bronzeville. This three-story home will have rear steel decks at the rear connected by a steel staircase, a concrete patio in the back yard, and three on-slab parking spaces accessed from the two alleys at the rear and west side of the lot.

Residents of 515 East Bowen will live within a two-block walk of north-south bus service via Route 3 at South King Drive and east-west service via the #43 at East 43rd Street. Westbound Route 43 can be used to connect with the 43rd Green Line elevated platform about five blocks southwest.
