A construction permit has been issued by the City of Chicago to fill in the empty lot at 6442 North Francisco Avenue in West Ridge. Landex Holding Company LLC filed for the approval on August 1, and it came through November 20th with a reported cost of $440,000.

Charles Schwartz is named as the architect of record. Details include a three-story steel staircase connecting decks at the two upper levels on the back of the building, a backyard concrete patio, and a three-car garage at the alley. The residential building will be of masonry construction, while the cars will be parked in a frame structure. M Street Construction of Oak Park is listed as the general contractor.

The lot has been vacant since demolition was ordered by the city for a three-story multi-unit residential building addressed as 6444 North Francisco.

CTA transportation is available by walking one block south to the Route 155 bus at Devon Avenue. Two blocks east, the Route 93 California/Dodge bus stops along California Avenue.
