Concrete blocks abound at 3605 North Ravenswood in Lake View, as this future 52-unit residential TOD starts to show above street level. Those cinder blocks are beginning to form a core, from which the rest of the building will soon begin to rise.
The City of Chicago issued the full building permit for the property on July 8 of last year, and general contractor Macon Construction Group broke ground soon after. Macon is also a co-developer here, joined by Stocking Urban. The six-story building, designed by Hirsch MPG, will include 5,500 square feet of retail space on the ground floor and an amenity deck on the sixth level. There will be 12 off-street parking spaces outside, accessed from the alley off Ravenswood Avenue.

Three buildings were demolished back in 2022 to create the lot here: 1744 and 1746 West Addison, and 3609 North Ravenswood, with Precision Excavation handling the demos.

An opening date of fall 2025 was the initial goal, but after some delays in getting approvals to start building, Stocking Urban’s website now shows spring 2026 as the projecting date for welcoming the fist tenants.

3605 North Ravenswood is located at the convergence of Ravenswood Avenue, Addison Street, and Lincoln Avenue. Lincoln Avenue, one of Chicago’s main diagonal arteries, offers one of the city’s most accessible bicycle routes. The Addison Brown Line elevated platform is little more than one block to the west, where the CTA Route 152 bus also stops. For a north-south bus, Routes 9 and X9 stops are about four blocks east at Ashland Avenue, and the Route 50 bus is equidistant to the west at Damen Avenue.

Tiny Typo: I beleive the strip mall that was demolished was 1746 W Addision (not 1745, which would be across the street).
Yep. Supposed to be 46. Thanks.
