Construction has reached full height, though not across 100 percent of the building, at a five-story, 42-unit residential development at 2505 W Farragut Avenue in Lincoln Square. Permitted by the City of Chicago on December 2, 2022, there will be 24 vehicle parking stalls, ground-floor retail space, and a rooftop deck.
The issued permit lists “5216 N Lincoln, LLC” as the developer, so we may see “5216 North Lincoln” become the name of the residence; 2505 West Farragut is the address assigned in the building permit. John Hanna of Hanna Architects is listed as the architect of record. A subsequent permit issued July 3, 20023 changed the general contractor from GB Construction of Highland Park to D.O.M. Properties Investment, Inc.
At the rear of the property, along the alley, construction progress is awaiting the adjustment of a utility pole, which currently encroaches into the footprint of the building. In a perfect scenario, that pole just needs a little bit of straightening so the building can be completed.
2505 W. Farragut Ave. is one block north of the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Foster Avenue. Bus service for Routes 11 and 92 Foster have stops nearby. There’s a large grocery store directly across Lincoln Avenue for shopping convenience.
