LG Development is expanding its vision with a new proposal for two apartment towers in the Fulton Market District. The firm plans to construct a 25-story building with 287 units at 170 N May Street and a 38-story tower with 380 units at 175 N Racine Avenue. This revised proposal is an increase from their previously approved plan for a 29-story high-rise with 486 units as reported by therealdeal.com.

The decision to revise the plan was influenced by high interest rates and construction costs. The plan calls for more units and will be carried out in phases. LG Development stated that the firm might get a head-start if market conditions are favorable in the next two to three years; otherwise, they would proceed sequentially.

In the meantime, LG Development continues to progress with another Fulton Market project: a 20-story, 179-unit apartment building on the north side of Lake Street. They also recently completed a 19-story tower with 363 units at 210 N Aberdeen Street.

  1. Hey Guys, I think you already reported on this last week. It’s the same project as 1143 W Lake.

    • Yeah, Cooper, I know you’re new but your reporting is really making me question if I’m getting anything worthwhile from this website.

      • LOL oh no, feel free to pay money to get on Crain’s, then. Jesus Christ

      • Literally, leave.

Like, that’s all you have to do.

Mad that there’s food at a grocery store? What’d you expect? Yankee Candle selling smelly stuff? Hope you didn’t go in for unscented items. Development blog website with a project that has no related news the address is question… what tf are you on about?

  2. Thank you Cooper, for the reporting. I actually like this article.
