Northwestern Medicine’s Advanced Outpatient Care Center in Old Irving Park is close to a full exterior completion. Located at 4445 W Irving Park Road, the facility covers a city block bordered by W Irving Park Road, N Kenneth Avenue, and N Kilbourn Avenue. The 160,000-square-foot center will offer outpatient services for cardiology, dermatology, endocrinology, imaging, immediate care, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, physical therapy, primary care, and urology.
Designed by CannonDesign, the building is characterized by a glass curtain wall facade that swoops outward, complemented by metal paneling and a metal screen wall along the 350-car garage. Outside, there is a 2,400-square-foot plaza with bike racks, seating, and green spaces. The LEED-certified building provides eight electric vehicle charging stations, eco-friendly materials, three green roofs, and bird-safe windows for better visibility.
Regarding transit accessibility, Bus Routes 54A and 80 can be found at the adjacent intersection of Irving Park & Kilbourn. Additionally, the CTA Blue Line and Metra stations are within a 10-minute walk from the property.
Power Construction and Ujamaa Construction are co-general contractors for the $150 million construction. The facility is expected to open to patients on November 1.
