A construction permit has been granted for a new residential development located at 2528 W Monroe Street in the Near West Side. The project will feature a three-story frame building, providing a total of three dwelling units and three concrete parking pads. The owner of the project is listed as JRD LLC – 2530.
The architect for the project is Victor Drapszo of Red Architects. As of now, renderings and drawings of the design could not be found online.
Beyond the aforementioned parking pads, transit accessibility includes nearby bus service for Route 20, which is a three-minute walk northeast to Madison & Campbell. Closest CTA L service can be found for the Blue Line via a 10-minute walk southeast to Western Station and for the Green Line via a 12-minute northwest to California Station.
The general contractor for the project is Hancock Management and Construction, with a reported construction cost of $300,000. Other contractors involved in the project include Bright Sparks Electric for electrical work, VJJ Plumbing for plumbing, and EMT Heating & Cooling for refrigeration and ventilation. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
