Construction permits have been issued for a new one-story masonry retail strip at 2414-18 W Roosevelt Road in Tri-Taylor. Owned and developed by Jerry Tufano, the low-rise will house a currency exchange at 2414 W Roosevelt Road and a retail space at 2418 W Roosevelt Road. The property is currently a vacant lot, which once housed a three-story masonry building that was torn down roughly a decade ago.

Nottingham Studios is the architect of record for this development. However, at this time, YIMBY has not been able to find any drawings or renderings of the design.

There will also be a parking lot with 11 vehicle spaces and two bike spaces according to the permit. In terms of nearby public transit, the development site is just a few paces from the Roosevelt & Western intersection, which provides service for Routes 12, 49, X49, and 157. CTA Blue Line service is also available via Western Station, a 13-minute walk north.

Restoration Associates Corp will serve as the general contractor for the project. According to the filing, the reported construction cost is $1,000,000. An expected completion date remains unknown.
