A permit was approved on Friday for a new five-story mixed-use building to be located at 2354 West Farragut Avenue in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. The owner is listed as 5216 N Lincoln LLC and plans indicate this project will feature first-floor retail space and 42 residential units spread across the second through fifth floors.
John C Hanna is the architect of record. The building will involve a brick exterior as well as balconies throughout the facade and decks at the rear on the second through fifth floors. This is an elevator building with a communal roof deck accessible via an enclosed staircase. There will be a 24-car garage on the first floor.
Future residents will find bus service for Route 11 at the Lincoln & Foster stop intersection, within a three-minute walk of the site. Residents can also board Route 92 at the Foster & Lincoln intersection which is an additional minute’s walk southwest. There are many popular shops and dining establishments that are readily accessible on foot along N Western.
GB Construction LLC is the general contractor behind the reportedly $7 million construction. A timeline for construction has not been released however, demolition has been completed.

Hanna is omnipresent in Chicago these days, especially the north-side. They have to be the most commissioned firm by some measure. He has like 4 mixed-use buildings proposed/built in this one intersection. All with the same Hanna aesthetic.
