A demolition permit was issued earlier in the week for a two-story frame multi-unit residential building and a detached frame garage located at 1740 W School Street in the Lake View neighborhood. The permit’s owner has been listed as Craig Silberberg. No permits or future plans have been issued as of yet for any upcoming projects or zoning changes.
The closest bus service available can be found on Route 77 at the intersection of Belmont & Paulina via a five-minute walk south. The most immediate CTA L access is a five-minute walk north to the Paulina station where the Brown Line can be boarded. There are a number of popular restaurants and retail options along nearby N Lincoln, Ashland, and Southport Avenues.
Precision Excavation is serving as the demolition contractor on this project. At the time of this writing, no construction permits have been filed or issued.
