A permit was approved yesterday for a two-story, two-unit residential building at 6457 S Rhodes Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood. The owner is listed as Champlain Rhodes LLC and plans indicate this project will feature a basement level and a detached two-vehicle garage. The lot for the proposed project is currently empty.
John C Hanna is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have been disclosed at this time, however, the use of masonry contractors strongly points to a masonry exterior.
The closest bus service available is Route 3 and it can be found at the King Drive & 65th Street stop via a four-minute walk west. The CTA L Green Line can be boarded at the King Drive station via a nine-minute walk northwest. There are a number of grocery and dining options within a five-minute walk of the future property site.
Greenline Homes LLC will act as the general contractor for the $432,300 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
