A permit was issued this past Thursday for a three-story residential building with a masonry facade at 6444 S Evans Avenue in the Woodlawn neighborhood. Dajuan Robinson of DNA Construction & Consulting is listed as the owner of the proposed project. The build details three total dwelling units each outfitted with a rear deck, a fenced-in yard, and a three-car parking pad. The lot is currently vacant.
Kathryn Shahbaz O’Brien is listed as the architect of record. No drawings or renderings have been disclosed at this time, however, a masonry component is expected.
The CTA Green Line can be accessed at the Cottage Grove station via a seven-minute walk north. The nearest bus available is Route 4 and it can be found at the Cottage Grove & 65th Street stop via a two-minute walk east. There are a number of grocery and dining options available within a five-minute walk.
Robinson’s DNA Construction and Consulting will act as the general contractor for the $450,000 construction. A full timeline and an anticipated completion date have not yet been revealed.
