A demolition permit has been issued for a five-story masonry located at 4834 S Halsted Street in the New City neighborhood. The permit’s owners have been listed as Zalcantar LLC.
The property is located near a variety of businesses and amenities. The nearest bus stop includes Route 8 at the Halsted & 48th Street stop which is directly outside the existing building. The nearest CTA L stop is the Red Line and is located at the 47th Street station via an 18-minute walk east.
Taylor Excavating & Construction is serving as the demolition contractor on this project. At the time of this writing, no plans for future construction or permits have been submitted.
