Construction permits have been issued for a four-story residential building at Lincoln Park‘s 2215 N Halsted Street. The owner and developer, 2215 Halsted Glascott FLP, has planned eight total residences, along with a rooftop deck with pergolas.

The structure will also come with 12 parking spaces, divided between an attached four-car garage and eight additional spaces in an underground garage. This separate garage will also come with its own rooftop deck. Previously occupied by a two-story masonry building, the plans received zoning approval this past February, which involved a reduction in the rear setback and residential use below the second floor.

Craft Architecture is behind the 48-foot-tall design, which involves a masonry exterior with front-facing balconies that flank a central vertical bay.

Residents will find bus access for Routes 8 and 74 at the intersection of Webster & Halsted, less than a minute walk south. Further stops can be found for Route 37, a five-minute walk north to Fullerton & Halsted/Lincoln. Those looking to board the CTA L can find all three of the Red, Purple, and Brown Lines at Fullerton station via an eight-minute walk northwest.

Platinum Homes Development Co. is serving as the general contractor behind the $1.5 million construction. Demolition permits have also been issued for the existing structure. An anticipated completion timeline has yet to be revealed.
