Construction permits have been issued for a new two-story residential building located at 1330 W Cullerton Street in Pilsen. The owner Crisantos Granados plans for three total dwellings, a basement level, and a 355-square-foot private rooftop deck for the second floor unit. As far as parking, there will be three spaces on a concrete parking pad. The development will replace a two-story frame residence that is set back from the street.
Jorge Fajardo of JEF + Associates LLC is the listed architect of record. No renderings have yet been revealed, though the filing description has indicated a frame design. The site also lies within the bounds of Pilsen Historic District, indicating that the plans put forth will be subject to additional design review.
Residents will have nearby bus access to Route 60, located a one-minute walk west to Loki’s & Cullerton. Also within walking distance is Route 21 access to the south, as well as Route 18 access to the north. Meanwhile, those looking to board the CTA L Pink Line will find 18th station via a 13-minute walk northwest. Metra service is also available nearby, with Halsted Street station via a 21-minute walk northeast.
N.R.D. Construction LLC will serve as the general contractor for the $550,000 project. No timeline details have yet surfaced.
