Construction permits have been issued for three adjacent residential buildings located at 1100 S Western Avenue in Tri-Taylor. Developed under the name 1100 S Western LLC, each of the structures will house three dwellings, for a total of nine new units. These three-story residences will also include a rear first-floor patio, rear porches on the second and third floors, and a three-car concrete parking pad. The combined project is set to replace an unpaved parking lot.

John Hanna of Hanna Architects is listed as the architect of record. Neither drawings nor renderings have yet been revealed, though multiple masonry contractors suggest the possibility of brick or stone design.

Nearby bus access includes north and southbound service for Routes 49 and 157, which can be found at Western & Taylor via a two-minute walk north. Additional nearby service is comprised of Routes 12 and X49 via a three-minute walk south to Roosevelt & Western. Those looking to board the CTA L service can find the Blue Line at Western station via a 10-minute walk north. Additionally, the Pink Line is available at either the other Western station via 20-minute walk south or Polk station via a 20-minute walk northeast. As for the Metra, Western Avenue station is available via a 15-minute walk south.

Nearby green spaces include Claremont Park, Livingston Field Park, and the 162-acre Douglass Park.

Eco Development Inc is serving as general contractor for the net $1.2 million construction, whose anticipated completion date has not yet been published.
