Construction permits have been issued for a three-story multi-unit residential development penned for 3937 S Indiana Avenue located in Bronzeville. With Scott Allbright as the listed owner, the new building will house a total of three dwellings and a detached garage. The development is set to replace a currently vacant grass lot.

Gary Wands of Door Thirteen Architects is the permit’s architect of record. No renderings or drawings of the design have yet been revealed, and it is unknown whether the structure will be frame or masonry.

For nearest transit, the site resides just paces north of the CTA L Green Line at Indiana station. Additional rail transit can be found for the CTA L Red Line as well as the Metra via a 22-minute walk northwest. For bus transit, east and westbound bus stops are available for Route 39 via a two-minute walk to Pershing & Indiana. Also within a 10-minute walk are additional buses for Routes 29, 3, and 43.

A host of green spaces are within walking distance, such as Bronzeville Dog Park directly across S Indiana Avenue, Poplar Park to the southeast, and larger parks such as Stateway Gardens Park and Metcalfe Park to the northwest and southwest, respectively.

Allbright Construction LLC is serving as general contractor for the $450,000 project, with no anticipated completion date having yet been revealed.
