Construction is now above grade for a three-story residential building at 2820 W Lyndale Street in Palmer Square. The developer 2820 Lyndale Real Estate LLC has planned seven residential units and seven open-air parking spaces. Other building features include a rooftop penthouse enclosure and deck, an open metal staircase, terraces on the first and second floors on the south side, and terraces along all three floors on the east side. The project is set to replace two frame single-family residences and a surrounding vacant area.
Craft Architecture is responsible for the new design. Though no drawings or renderings have been posted, current construction photos and permits issued last December have indicated a masonry design.
Future residents will find an array of nearby transit options, including bus stops for Routes 56 and 94 at Milwaukee & California within a two-minute walk northeast. Service for Route 74 can also be found via a seven-minute walk north to Fullerton & California. Those looking to board trains for the CTA L Blue Line will find the California station within a one-minute walk of the property.
Various parks line the area, including Palmer Square Park via a six-minute walk southwest and Logan Square Park via a 13-minute walk northwest. Access to the elevated 606 Bloomingdale Trail can also be found via a 14-minute walk south.
Galileo Development Group is general contractor for the reportedly $900,000 construction. An anticipated completion date is not currently known.
