Construction permits were recently issued for 1038 W Altgeld in Lincoln Park‘s Wrightwood Neighbors district, where PCM Real Estate Investment is planning a three-story residential building.
The site of the new development is located just south of Jonquil Park, near the triple-intersection of N Lincoln Avenue, N Sheffield Avenue, and W Wrightwood Avenue. The nearest bus access is a three-minute walk south to the Fullerton & Seminary stop, serviced by route 74. The Brown, Purple, and Red Lines can be accessed at the CTA L Fullerton station, a five-minute walk southeast. The same lines can also be accessed via Diversey station, a nine-minute walk north.
Additional points of interest include DuPaul University, located a four-minute walk south, as well as Lincoln Park and the lake shore are a 19-minute walk east.
The development will comprise three total units, with plans for a detached three-car garage.
Set to replace a four-story wooden building, the new construction’s facade will be masonry, as indicated in the filing description. While no architect has been listed, Michael S Cox of MC & Associates, LLC has been listed as the structural engineer.
Greater Services, Inc. will serve as the general contractor during construction. The total cost of the development is projected at $752,000.
