Permits have been filed for a two-story residential building at 2615 S Throop Street in Bridgeport. The project site is located at the southeast corner of S Throop Street and S Hillock Avenue. The nearest CTA bus transportation is Route 62 accessed at the Throop and Archer stop, a three-minute walk away. The Halsted CTA L station, serviced by the Orange Line, is a ten-minute walk away. Skyriver Throop Development LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, reporting a development cost of $2,500,000.

The development will be a two-story townhome building with nine residential units within, as well a basement and attached garage for the tenants.

Ronald Vari of Vari Architects is listed as the architect for the building. MPI Contracting Inc. is listed as the general contractor.

The project is the second phase of a larger residential development on the site. Several individual townhomes are currently under construction along S Hillock Avenue. At least a portion of the space behind those homes and street frontage along S Throop Street will be taken up by the new townhome building. The site is currently a construction zone and staging area, so demolition permits will most likely not be necessary. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Is this the same Sky River that’s developing the Hoyt Square project on Cermak?
